Understanding & Cultivating Integrity in Mars Venus Way

Restoran Rebun Chef Ismail played host to yet another inspiring and eye-opening CPD. The seminar commenced with a networking activity to get new members comfortable and familiar with each other, understanding which industry everyone was coming from.

This was followed up by an interesting analysis of Integrity and how to apply it to the corporate world and everyday activities. The husband and wife team Mr. Suh Shyun and Ms.Huey Hua, went on to explain the background theory of how men are from Mars and women from Venus. After this detailed introduction of the Mars Venus theory, we were led to an active discussion amongst the audience and the speakers sharing their personal experiences and the main difference between men and women from a generalized point of view.

A number of exercises were given to the audience to help them understand the Venusian and Martian characteristics and approach to problem solving. A video by John Gray, author of 6 best-selling books including Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus, was also played for the audience to elaborate more on the Martian and Venusian ways.

To conclude the talk, Ms. Huey Hua and Mr. Shu Shyun illustrated how to make a balance between selfish approach and selfless approach to problem solving by using simple phrases in daily dialogue through yet another exercise amongst the members. To close off this didactic and dynamic CPD, members dined on a spectacular traditional Malay cuisine.
