Decorated in lavish style, the Grand Dorsett Subang Jaya played host to a spectacular charity gala dinner, organised by the Kiwanis Club of Bukit Kiara.

We arrived in time for the opening; a warm and cordial address from the current chairman, introducing Kiwanis core principles and guiding mission.

The Kiwanis club is a charitable organisation, set up in 1915 with a motto of serving the children of the world. And in this it has succeeded – raising and spending millions of dollars every year on the development projects, the world over. 

With our own table we looked over the event itinerary, in anticipation of the evening’s most esteemed guest speaker.

And after a delicious banquet, singing and a charity auction, the honourable Y.A.B. Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamed took to the stage.

Wooing the crowd with an unmistakable blend of satirical comedy and political commentary; Tun took us through his own vision of Malaysia’s current and political future. 

A truly memorable occasion, we queued for photos with the esteemed leader, who’s wisdom and grace continues unequalled.
