The sleepy resort of FELDA Residence Tekam, Pahang was transformed last week; courtesy of the Oxford Centre for Leadership and their Asset Based Community Development Business Exposition Fair.

Opening to hundreds – the event was a showcase of local entrepreneurship with inspirational speeches from some of the most successful businessmen and women.

Exchanging ideas on marketing strategy and supply chain management – the fair was a development platform for both seasoned and fledgling entrepreneurs alike.

A celebration of rural ingenuity; it incorporated the fundamental values of ABCD: utilising the knowledge and experience of local people to train and educate members of their respective communities.

Serving traditional dishes amongst palm groves and rubber trees – the event was a delightful networking opportunity; spurning many to make those vital first steps towards enterprise and financial independence.
